Cabo San Lucas is located on the most southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula. It is the place where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. Although Cabo San Lucas is now a world class vacation destination and no longer a sleepy fishing village, it is still a small town and known for its friendly people. The population of Los Cabos (which consists of three areas known as Cabo San Lucas, the Corridor and San Jose del Cabo) has a total of 57,000 people. Land's end is a group of rock formations, in the Cabo San Lucas bay, that were formed by the wind and sea.

The best way to get out to Lover's Beach, and Land's End, is to take a Glass Bottom Boat Tour. You can find them on the Marina or on the main beach in Cabo San Lucas, Medano Beach. For just a few dollars, they will give you a tour around the rocks and drop you off at Lover's Beach. The boats continually go back and forth, so you can stay out there as long as you'd like. You can swim on the Sea of Cortez side, but the pacific side is "just for looking" due to a strong undertow.

In the 1950s, celebrities such as John Wayne, Bing Crosby and Desi Arnaz came to Cabo San Lucas (which quickly became their favorite spot) for sports fishing. Since then anglers come from all over the world come to Cabo San Lucas to catch their "big fish". More recently Cabo has also become a world class golf destination, a popular port of call for cruise ships, and is still a hideaway for the rich and famous. The weather is sunny approximately 340 days a year so if you're wondering what the weather will be like on your vacation…the answer is almost always "sunny"! Be sure to pack your sun screen because the sun is a little more intense, and you don't want to spoil your vacation with a sunburn.

Cabo is known for its casual atmosphere, so don't worry about packing a tie, causal attire is the norm.
